Master Forge Grill Recall

On January 6, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Sagittarius Sporting Goods of China announced a voluntary recall of approximately 10,000 Master Forge Five-Burner Gas Grills, due to a potential fire and burn hazard. The recalled grills have a flexible rubber hose on the gas tank that can come into contact with the burner box, causing the hose to melt and break when the grill is lit.

The recall affects all Master Forge Five-Burner Gas Grills that are stainless steel with the name “Master Forge” on the grill hood. The model number, L3218, is located inside the left front door of the grill.

Sagittarius has received two reports of the hose melting and rupturing. The grills were sold at Lowe’s stores nationwide from September 2009 through November 2009.

Customers are advised to stop using the grills immediately and contact Sagittarius at 800-444-6742 to receive a free repair kit.
