On April 7, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Foria International Inc. announced a voluntary recall of approximately 800 women's peacoats. The peacoats were sold in Bass Pro Shops stores nationwide from October 2009 through January 2010 for about $60. The recalled peacoats fail to meet federal flammability standards and pose a risk for burn injuries.
The peacoats are double-breasted with long sleeves and have "Authentic" printed on the label on the neckline. The coats are 100 percent cotton fleece, with a large blue and white plaid print.
Consumers are urged to stop wearing the recalled peacoats immediately and return the item to Foria International for a full refund, including shipping. The company can be contacted at 888-999-6568.
